I much prefer to speak to someone on the phone - I think it's the perfect ice-breaker and gives you the opportunity to put a voice to the name and pictures of me that you've already seen.
I would never arrange a date with someone without speaking to them on the phone first and I will not, under any circumstances, arrange a date by text with someone I haven't met before.
I also do not reply to texts asking questions about availability, rates or anything else, so please save yourself the time and disappointment of waiting for a text reply which won't be coming your way and just call me instead.
Even the most shy and nervous have no reason to worry - you will find me very easy to chat with and you should feel more at ease after we've spoken, which then means you can enjoy the anticipation even more before we meet.
