A circus with a difference!

Wow! I was invited on a date to see a circus with a difference this week and it was totally fantastic!
Cirkus Cirkor, as they are known, are a Swedish circus company, and the only way I can describe them is to say that they are a cross between slighty burlesque, Cirque du Soleil and a contemporary circus show. It was pretty fast-paced and there was so much to see throughout that it was totally absorbing.
They also have a live band performing with them, called Irya's Playground, and the lead singer looked totally scrummy in her burlesque-styled outfit. My favourite song from the show was My Angel and I'm currently looking to buy the album but, as they are also Swedish, I haven't had much success so far.

Unfortunately, they are only doing a couple of UK tour dates this year, but I'll definitely be looking out for their dates next year.
I have to say a huge 'Thank you' to my date, who knows my love of circus acts and had seen one of their shows before. As usual, your recommendation was perfect and you were so right when you said you knew I'd love it.
