Petrov, Sylvinho and Benjani to leave Manchester City
09th June 2010
Manchester City trio Martin Petrov, Sylvinho and Benjani will all leave the Premier League club this summer. Injury-hampered Bulgarian winger Petrov, 31, was signed by then manager Sven-Goran Eriksson in 2007 but only managed 57 starts, scoring 15 goals.
Brazilian defender Sylvinho, 35, signed on a one-year contract last August but only made nine starts.
Benjani, 31, who arrived in 2008, scored the winner on his debut in a 2-1 away derby win over Manchester United.
But the Zimbabwe captain failed to impress manager Roberto Mancini and spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland.
