New Aberdeen stadium meetings being held
10th May 2010
A series of public consultations on plans for a new home for Aberdeen Football Club are being held. The aim is for a stadium capable of holding about 21,000 people - costing up to £40m - at Loirston Loch.
Public meetings are being held at the Thistle Altens Hotel on Sunday and Monday, and also in the Richard Donald Suite at Pittodrie Stadium on Tuesday.
Councillors have already backed the project, but it still has to clear the planning process.
Sunday's meeting is from 1300 BST until 1700 BST, Monday is from 1500 BST until 2000 BST, and on Tuesday it is also between 1500 BST and 2000 BST.
An alternative site of Kings Links was earlier deemed too small and expensive.
The club has played at Pittodrie for more than a century.
