Rochdale, Lancashire

Rochdale, is located approximately 15km northeast of Manchester. Once a major mill town, it became famous for the production of wollen cloth and The Rochdale Canal was used for the haulage of cotton, wool and coal to and from the area.

Rochdale has several musuems worth a visit, including The Corgi Heritage Centre (a small museum, dedicated to the diecast model vehicles made by Corgi) and Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum.
